M-Saigon Street Food: Reviews & Ratings
I was only a little hungry when I stopped by on the way home. They weren't too busy, so I got through pretty quick and ordered in. I got a couple of things from the street food part of the menu. The staff was great and helpful. The restaurant was clean and neat. The menu was very simple and easy to read. My only issues were the shrimp in the corn dish. It tasted alright, but they (shrimp) were almost non, existent and it wasn't stir fried It was all good, but I'll have to go back again to try some of the other items on the menu
I was in a rush and decided to stop in for a quick bite. This location can be a bit confusing as it’s named Hot Pot Ice Cream but it’s also M-Saigon Street Food. This is the type of spot you pay at the counter first and grab your own utensils etc. I was not interested in ice cream but was pleasantly surprised they sold Bò Né and man was it good! The plate came out sizzling and packed with flavor. The only reason I’m giving 4/5 stars is because the employees have been less than friendly on the two occasions I’ve visited. The food and drinks are great but definitely could use some work on the customer service side.
Gem of a place. I hope they stay open. Banh mi is baked in house. Great flavor. Sandwich is smaller than others but priced lower also. I like the mini appetizers.
First time here, the service was good. I got the meatball sandwich and strawberry smoothie, and it was great. I didn't try the ice cream sadly, so I'll have to come back and try it. (*^ ‿ *)
Pros: lots of comfortable seating inside and outdoors, extensive menu, helpful employees, clean bathrooms, super delicious food Cons: out of many things They were out of hot pot ice cream when I went, and despite that they still had plenty of tasty food. I quite enjoyed their #1, iced Vietnamese coffee, cream brulee milk tea, and their black sesame ice cream. The ice cream in particular was intense in a great way; its the best black sesame ice cream I've ever had! Their other flavors were pretty good too (cafe barista, green tea, guava). Service was great. And I really loved sitting outside in their comfy seats while enjoying their ice cream! I would love to come back!
This place is like a little booth inside the supermarket, at the time of this review there is construction outside but there should be an entrance door leading to the market and this place is on the right. They do take cards. We got a grilled pork bm and a nem nuong bm. The grilled pork banh mi is nice and spicy, pickled veggies are great, the meat is solid - not too fatty. The nem nuong is also very good. Each banh mi is under $5.50 ~ $6 including tax, you can easily break one banh mi into 2 meals.
I love their combination sandwiches, wonderful service and delicious apple/orange cinnamon tea with rainbow jelly. Great prices also!
We went to try out this place this past Saturday. It is under a new management from the banh mi owner from Thiem Hung banh mi. So their sign haven't been updated, and the same goes with the decoration. Just note that the banh mi sold here is an extra .50 extra ($6.50) compared with the shop at Thiem at $6, but they are the same size. I got the hot plate beef, meatballs, and egg, which also included a free sugarcane juice for a price of $16.50, which is not bad. The food was not bad. However, we were pretty thirsty afterward.
